WP2: Epigenetic analysis of selected sweet cherry cultivars using Methylation Sensitive Amplified Polymorphism (MSAP) markers

Epigenetic modifications have been reported to mediate environmentally induced phenotypic variation while epigenetic variance and the state of the art pertinent research shows that epigenetic variation can be heritable and play a notable evolutionary role. This WP is devoted into further elucidating phenotypic diversity and plasticity by developing the links between genetics, phenology and epigenetics in sweet cherry.

A combined -omics and bioinformatics approach to generate the atlas of Greek-oriented sweet cherry genetic resources.
SweetBiOmics aims to create and integrate cutting edge genomic, epigenetic, transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic and phenotypic data with advanced statistical and bioinformatics approaches
